Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Psychology program provides a comprehensive understanding of the domain as a whole with regard to theoretical and practical applications. The curriculum includes a host of specializations such as Clinical Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Indigenous Healing techniques to meet wide aspirations, varied interests and diversified talents. The program is structured to develop practical and research skills accommodating such aspects as training, assessment and therapeutic techniques. The program offers opportunities for students to get hands-on experience in research and clinical internships keeping pace with disciplinary advances
The course provides a gateway to become a professional counsellor that involves working with individuals, groups, families, and communities to deal with mental health.
A child psychologist will get an opportunity to work with Educational Institutions, NGOs, Hospitals, Organizations related with Family and Child Welfare as trainer, counsellor, academician etc. and in Research Projects.
The course provides a steppingstone to become a professional clinical psychologist and the scope ranges from working at hospitals, drug rehabilitation centres, NGOs, community and mental health centres, counselling centres, child care, etc.
I-O psychology provides opportunities in the business sector in positions dealing with worker productivity, employee training, assessment, and human resources. I-O psychologists can also work as vocational rehabilitation providers, employment counsellor, behavioural counsellor etc.
Note: Registered RCI license and internship is required wherever applicable in the above job.
