Overview
The apprenticeship linked M.A. Economics program has been developed with a view to provide an
opportunity for those learners who wish to pursue higher studies in Economics along with acquiring
practical skills by working in a corporate environment.
Students will gain in-depth
knowledge about the core subjects like macroeconomic theory, mathematical economics and
econometrics. The primary objective of the MA Economics with Apprenticeship program is to offer
educational opportunities to students in order to prepare them to become accomplished citizens and
professionals who are capable of critical thinking and independent analysis. Students shall gain a
competitive advantage at the postgraduate level with the rigorous educational program that
integrates theory, econometrics and economic thought with applications in a wide variety of fields
within economics.
The students will also acquire meaningful professional experience
during the apprenticeship that they are required to do in the 2nd and 4th semester of the program.
The students will receive a monthly stipend along with gaining confidence in their abilities.
